Ah, how soon we forget. Oh, and if I've said it before, I've said it a thousand times, likes mean nothing on this site, and arguably, anywhere. I actually ENJOY when people downthumb, because all that shows is that is that I've pissed them off by challenging their sense of humor, worldview, etc, and they've got nothing to hit back with other than their petty downthumbs.
As for the "medical" clearance of IQ testing at age six, I've honestly never heard of that. I'd like to know more about it, but it seems you'd rather play pretend that you're totally innocent here and that somehow the opinions of others should affect my self-esteem. IQ seems like a silly thing to go on, though, as your knowledge of course material for the grade you're jumping should be the only thing that matters.

Not that it matters, but the only time I was IQ tested was in junior college, and that was a part of a project. I was 130-something. However, I seem to recall something about IQ tests not being entirely reliable, and parents are often told to take the results with a grain of salt.
Of course, I'm not trying to get into an IQ pissing contest. I've come across my share of people like that IRL, and I always get the feeling that they're overcompensating for something. Maybe some past emotional or psychological trauma or something. Or they're just gifted, but have been bullied for so long that now they've gone power mad with the ability to lord their IQ results over the rest of the dullards.
