Gender: the state of being male or female (typically used with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones).
You can be both female and gay/lesbian/whatever/a moose or whatever, but you can't change the definition of a word to give yourself authority over people. You are born a female/male no matter what. Gender/Sex is something you are born and cannot be changed. You may be born liking the same sex, but if you really think that you aren't the sex you were born as you were either lied to or have a mental disorder. Gender is something you are born with, but your sexual preference is something you choose to do. You cannot change your genes yet
