I mean, as sad as it sounds, I don't think it's a really uncommon thing that guys believe. They rarely teach about contraceptive in sex ed, and a guy especially wouldn't learn about women's birth control. And it never comes up in conversation.

Another cool thing that the Incas did was their stonework. They were able to cut stones in such a way that they could fit them together tightly without mortar, and it's stayed relatively intact, even through earthquakes.

Bullet proof glass still cracks when a bullet hits it. But it doesn't shatter or let the bullet go through. Any sort of glass isn't going to be as durable as plastic or some type of polymer, which is flexible and better at handling shock.
