This is why growing up sucks. You get lied to your whole childhood about the world and how great it is then you get older and learn the truth and the truth is shitty. Tell kids how the world actually is so they don't have to try to poorly adjust to it later.

My science teacher in high school had this poster on the door and pictures of before and after people became addicted to meth. And a shit ton of stuff preserved in formaldehyde. Like an insane collection of stuff. Like I'm now wondering how a person even comes by that array of gross things floating in jars.

I once dreamt this guy I kind of knew because we were in a play together and I were in the army fighting Draugr-like zombies. In between zombie attacks, our commanding officer set up a secret dinner for us (even though that wasn't allowed because supplies were limited) because he knew that we probably weren't going to make it and that we loved each other a lot. It was really sweet. I told that guy about it and he asked me on a date and long story short, I'm going to marry that guy next year. Your subconscious is sometimes right.
