My dads eyesight was like mine, text was blurry but not much else, everything was plainly visible. Also i tried contacts for a year and my eyesight worsened, dropped them an gave my eyes breaks between glasses use and I started seeing improvement

I'm not saying it will help develop them just that they need a break from the lenses so they don't become dependant. I know it sounds crazy but trust me it's a tip my dad gave me and when i decided to listen my eyesight slowly started improving until it it a flat point of no improvement but no degradation either. His advice came from the fact that as a kid, adults always forced him to wear his glasses permanently cause that's what optometrists recommended, and slowly his eyesight worsened until he became wholly dependant on them in his 20s,his warning saved my vision and i only need glasses to read far away text and small text, it's barely above the legal minimum to allow me to drive without them but the victory for me is I'm legally allowed to drive without my glasses (that will probably change with age but I've got until I'm like 40 to get there so worth it)

Oh damn have you considered surgery? Also if you wear contacts switch to glasses and give your eyes time away from the lenses (reason being is that your eyes become too dependant on the lenses and they actually get worse)
