To the original commenter. You sound like my father. Only I was six and would get night terrors. He accidentally gave away a book that helped me sleep so I ran away for like 2 hours and lost everything

Yeah I agree with Abel. If a random person were to ask me that I would reply with, "I just grew up" or "I stopped worrying" or something like that but the honesty would be something like, "I realized my life is fucking shit. I didn't want to live like that so I tried to make a difference. It caused me so much pain and misery and I wanted to give up so many times but I kept pushing. I pushed through everything and ended up here and I'm glad I did because I'm a much better person now. Socially and mentally."

Okay to whoever the first guest is obviously doesn't struggle with mental illnesses. I have anxiety and depression. A horrible combination. I cannot just tell myself to "stop worrying" or to "be happy" no. It doesn't work like that. Mental illnesses take over your brain. You can't control what you think. If I were to tell myself to suck it and be happy id find myself in a worse state than before due to the fact the I was unable to suck it up and be happy. Since j was unable to do that I start to feel like I cannot ever live up to anything and I end up in this pit of dread and misery. It's horrible. It's hell. You cannot tell someone to suck it up. They can't.

I saved a duck once... It was sick and dying in the snow in the middle of winter (I live in Canada and it was a really cold winter) it couldn't fly but it tried and I had to chase it a bit but I caught it and I put it in this huge box I had made as a dog house for my puppy and gave it a blanket and fed it bread. Like 2 days later my mom got some people to come take him and make sure he gets better. I cried when he was taken away cuz I wanted a duck (mind you I was 12 at the time)

As a Canadian that runs the terry fox run every year and truly believes in this cause considering I have family members who have died of cancer, the comments on this post are very disrespectful. Seriously, grow up. It was pointless. It was amazing. It took so much strength and courage and you people are mocking him.

My mom would pull my hair and smack me and throw me and scream at me and drag me around. Now she wonders why I'm depressed and have anxiety and hides in the basement the second I get home and don't talk anymore..
