Not necessarily. That could just be the number of couples who got married, that doesn't necessarily include their partners since only one person counts for a "couple" here. 4,123,651 couples could have gotten married.

"Can't, my mom needs help moving in."
"Sorry, my mom needs my help with something."
"No, I need to call my mom about something important."
"Dammit, can't, my mom needs me over."

That's what I'm wondering, too. I looked up "Apu Stereotype", and imagine my surprise when I found out there's a man making a MOVIE about this issue? This is too much.

I agree with you. The color of the character, if anything, I think, should be fixed to appease whomever is calling for a removal, but a removal of the entire character is too much.

Quite honestly? This is too much. The Simpsons is a show that's been going on ever since I can remember. I understand that people are upset about this, but it's a continuity that I don't think ever really goes away. The show itself is based off of stereotypes in America. There are already so many racist stereotypes that the show portrays for the use of comedic content. If it bothers you to watch it, don't watch it. If his portrayal is a problem, you'd have to get rid of every other character that has been remotely racist, then. Making a big deal out of something so small is a sure fire way to perpetuate that stereotype more and make it seem even MORE true. Some battles are not to be fought. Extend your view on it, yes, but don't force the show's hand. It's a comedy. Treat it as such.
