The first time i went to a motel, about to leave, and there's this thing on the wall like a small bank door, where they put your bill from the other side and spin it, (you don't see anyone) you take it and leave the money, and i took several minutes to realise the bill was there and they were waiting for me to pay, so when i saw it i put the money and apologised for taking so long to pay, but i said it like this: "sorry i took too long". I don't think they understood what i really meant.

taeminnieah i don't think we are totally free; we live in a capitalist society, if you are born poor is sometimes very difficult to 'climb' to a better situation; if you don't have money you can't do the things you want/need, you can barely survive. Even if you have a job doesn't mean it's a good job or even has a fair payment, sometimes a poor person just don't have a choice. I don't know, even if you aren't exactly poor you are suposed to get a job and that doesn't mean you will find a good one. Sorry i don't know if it makes sense to you.
