Well, it's just about common knowledge that cnn has absolutely zero journalistic integrity, so this isn't surprising.

Really? Like who? The point is that just about everyone with half a brain can agree that fascism is bad, but there are more than a few who are not so economically inclined that think socialism and communism are good ideas.

I don't really care all that much about the trans argument, but I find it wild how Bruce (at the time) literally killed a woman and never got arrested or faced any real repercussions?

Honestly, I would probably leave the flowers at work, just to brighten my day and add some color to the workspace.

There is a difference. Genetic conditions are tricky by their very nature, and can be a toss up as to what is expressed because of the other partner. Some genetic conditions are masked, and a parent might be completely unaware they might be passing on something dangerous. What guest and yourself are defending is KNOWINGLY (emphasis on KNOWINGLY) passing on an incurable virus to people they had no intention of telling. A virus that has and continues to kill. Maybe not in the massive numbers it used to, but it is usually a factor in their death's. If someone KNOWINGLY gave me syphilis, or the fuckin plague, and didn't tell me, I would be fucking furious, and want someone like that put away, not getting a slap on the wrist and putting others at risk.

@guest_ please tell me you didn't just defend a law that lowers the penalty for KNOWINGLY transmitting a POTENTIALLY DEADLY VIRUS to others. Please. Because that is fucked up.

I'm not saying that calling this person a ladyboy is right; it's rude and wrong and generally uncalled for. However, respect is earned, and when someone flips out and is ready to fight a retail worker for what was most likely a slip of the tongue does not make people want to give that respect.

Most of this isn't transphobia. That asshole blew up over what was most likely a slip of the tongue. I have accidentally called a guy ma'am before. I, a straight woman, have also accidentally been called a man before. This shit happens. The best way to respond is to laugh it off, not blow a gasket

The problem is that the two are becoming inseparable. The same people complaining about rampant systemic sexism in the US are the same people putting Linda Sarsour as a feminist hero.

And if it's because you are concerned about preservatives in the vaccines, those have been largely decreased or swapped out for something better, largely because of improved preservation techniques in refrigeration, and the discovery of better biological compounds.

The herd is a good thing haha! But really, @born2fly you can see in real time what happens when people don't vaccinate their children. Measles is spreading like wildfire in Europe, and there are now outbreaks of measles, mumps, chicken pox, and other childhood diseases in the US in numbers that haven't been seen in years.

This is because you benefited from something called herd immunity. That is when most of a population is vaccinated, preventing an outbreak and protecting those who cannot be vaccinated. The percentage varies, but to have herd immunity, 83-94 percent of a population must be vaccinated. With the rise of antivaxxers, that overall percentage has dropped, exposing everyone who can and cannot be vaccinated to diseases we haven't seen in decades.

I was talking a bit more in general haha! I lived over by Detroit, so I got lots of overcast weather in the winter.

Especially in the winter! If you're really unlucky, you can go months at a time without seeing the sun!
