They do. I'm a brown woman and I have randomly selected a few times while boarding. While I did feel discriminated against, but you just bear it for a few minutes, then they let you go.

on google search, I found that she's happy with her family now. That picture is from when she was in an abusive marriage, which ended in separation, later her ex committed suicide. She knows about the meme and embraces it.
