Ex-girlfriend tattoo 3 comments

You know, my mate had a divorce, and he went out and got a tattoo of the date that he was married. He said he'd much rather remember the good than be one of those guys that referred to his ex-wife as 'that bitch'. Which I think is a beautiful sentiment, and a lot less hate would be in the world if more people took that attitude.

They're super intelligent, the are working dogs after all. Gotta keep them busy or that intelligence turns to mischief!

I don't like posts like this either. Even if they were fighting for the government, these men personally believed they were fighting for their families, and in a way they were. These men and women sacrificed themselves for the potential of humankind, don't worry about how other people are honouring that, but how you personally are. There are many a people who are good in this world. But kingsofkings, you can't say that people wouldn't have a right to voice their opinion. You have no idea what would've happened if the allied forces lost. Yes, of course the world would be different, but who knows how drastically different, or in what way. Difference doesn't mean bad, nor does it mean good.

Because like it or not, some people just aren't that interested in landing on a comet. It's a great achievement, no doubt, but some people only need to hear it once, not a thousand times.

Murderpie, you're using the stupidest argument. You guarantee she'd go for him if she were attracted to him? Are you really that bad at knowing not just women, but humans in general? I've been attracted to people who then turn out to act like this guy did, pushy and presumptuous, and it makes them look very, very strange and, surprise surprise, creepy, and you wonder what you ever saw in them in the first place. Just because you've heard a comedian say that the difference between romantic and stalker is how hot a guy is to women, doesn't mean it's in any way truthful.

Well you're wrong, norman, some of these are very difficult. Even if you would find them easy, they are difficult and the only reason you'd find them easy is because you've put the hours and hours of practice in that you'd need to be able to pull them off. Of course I've hear that compound bows are 'cheating', I say it myself even though I shoot compound, but I don't take such offence to people using them that I downplay their obviously awesome, /difficult/ shots as 'not difficult'.

If you've put a lot of work into easy, then you would know that these shots are difficult, just fine for you because you have done the hard yards. Compound bows are still hard to master, I shoot both recurve and compound. Compound isn't cheating, it's just a new technology.

Norman you're full of shit. Some would be okay with quite a bit of practice, but still wouldn't be called 'easy'. Don't downplay how much work you have to put into archery before you can make quality shots like this.

Celebrity homes 14 comments

If I ever came into that much money, honestly I wouldn't buy one of these houses. I'd feel completely awkward inside, and it wouldn't feel like a home. I might go on a holiday to one, but give me a four bedroom home any day.

That's perfectly fine, I'd prefer a world where everyone grew their own food to be perfectly honest. But I'd ask that people don't just look at a photo, read the caption, and take it as fact. One of my friends posted a photo of a heifer that had been trapped in a trough (which they took several hours to release, all in harsh Aussie sun, and eventually having to destroy the trough), and the photo was stolen and posted on an anti-live export website, saying this practice was 'normal' or some bull. This chicken in the photo is the victim of animal abuse, not a victim of cage-egg farming.

Oh come on, not all cage chickens look like this. This poor chicken has been severely neglected and abused, and while I'd rather cage-free I really encourage people to actually go to a cage-egg farm and see how things are run before they pass judgement. Going to prepare for downvotes here, but being a farmer I've seen many a picture get a slogan slapped on them, and then people start believing it's an industry standard not a very small percentage of farmers that treat their animals like this. If you really think farmers are just greedy and don't care about their animals at all, then at least think of the fact that abused animals do not make money.

They use recurve in there too. Even being a compound bow it's pretty bloody impressive.

Maybe you should do your research before commenting? And that's the point, he's opposing a government by standing in front of machines that could easily kill him, and risking being jailed or worse afterwards...which takes balls...

What my fellow "feminists" should have been talking about this weekend 12 comments
jillaroo · 10 years ago
Bull. Absolute bull. You can't tell me that any feminist would look at a case like this and feel indifferent. This title is just showing how the word 'feminist' is now a dirty word. People fight for supremacy? No, actually feminists I know, including myself, fight for equal pay, and fight for the right to not be seen for the clothes I wear or the job I want to work in. I work in an industry (farming) where people have freely admitted that they have passed over my resume simply because I'm a woman, despite being more qualified than the men because they think I'll bring in 'more drama' than men. So tell me, what in the world is wrong with fighting for equality in those issues? Because that's what feminists are fighting for.

I hate when people say that women should just take random stuff yelled at them as compliments! The problem is, I only ever hear 'nice arse' or beeping from a car, never 'you're smart' or 'I like your work ethic'. That's the problem there.

There are plenty of lakes like this in Australia, especially South Australia and Western Australia. Some are a more vibrant colour than others, but beautiful all the same.

Hate to break it to you, but this idea reversed is basically what happens already. Men have the greatest role and women can be killed off easily or just sit there/follow etc. Nothing wrong with that, but what is wrong with a movie where it's reversed? Having a woman as a main character should hardly be enough to piss you off.
Sad or the saddest thing ever? 14 comments

There is nothing sad about this image. This polar bear has a clean, large, themed environment to live in. In a place that bothers to paint a mural (which is solely for the benefit of tourists, seeing as animals CAN NOT comprehend paintings), there is enough money to provide mental stimulation, adequate food and fantastic care. While I'd rather these guys out in the wild, zoos play an important role in conservation of animals, and this polar bear is clearly well cared for.

Yeah sure, that's not the part I'm saying, it's just silly comparing a skateboarding fall to falling on the sidewalk. Like comparing a horse riding fall and falling on the path.

As much as I agree with him spending time with his daughter, outdoors, and love this photo, a fall on the sidewalk isn't as dangerous as a fall from high speeds on a skateboard.

It's a real problem for farmers, people calling in because of supposed animal cruelty. There's a sickness in cows called '3-day sickness' cause they literally just lie down for 3 days and there's nothing you can do for them, just put them in shade and some water nearby. A dairy I worked at had a cow get 3-day next to a roadside, and the RSPCA got called so many times, people came up to the gate and just yelled profanities at us without listening, so we had to put up a similar sign too.
