Pretty un-Australian mate, hardly 'highly offensive', more misguided. Aussies typically have a tougher skin than you, PLUS are known for a larrikin nature. You need to find yours.

The metric/English systems refer to maths..

Okay ha, let me re-explain. America is one of very few countries that still uses the English system. They have created a textbook which is to be distributed world-wide amongst country that have never used the English system, yet only give instructions on how to use the metric system (which the other countries already know). My point is it's annoying that they're holding onto the English system when it makes less sense and is a lot harder for everybody else to work out, especially considering that other countries use a lot of info from America.

My goodness I'm glad you revoked your previous statement. Just because women are different doesn't mean worse. Same goes with just because men are different doesn't mean worse. Just ask a mother how much pressure she can handle...cause it's a lot.

Yeah ha, mine too. The fact that the by-line has nothing to do with being a pluto-killer is making it even worse :P

My brother-in-law applied for a break from his uni so he and my sister could go on a proper honeymoon, and there's only one break granted per term. He got denied, and the person who got it was a gay guy that wanted to go to a festival, and conveniently mentioned that he was gay when he applied. Not remotely fair.

Yep, can relate to this. I've had people call me stuck-up or arrogant, and they've never even approached me. I just don't run around squealing like an idiot and wear modest clothes. Shock horror, I must live in the stone age or something.

And still using the English system instead of metric system ugh. I have a textbook (for an Australian chemisty uni course) and they only explain the metric system and just presume you know the English system. Pain in the behind

My dearest patronising guest, I am from Australia, and I can assure you that every single person I know says 'your fly is down' or 'your fly's undone'. If you were to follow your own advice of asking people 'not to scrutinize others for their points conveyed', I would suggest not replying to my previous comment, as you were scrutinising mine. Regardless, my point up there was to say that saying the joke didn't work is taking it a bit far, as people in Australia have an understanding that fly = zip. I can sense the downvotes coming, but that's alright, I'm just saying it's a bit hypocritical to scrutinise my comment while telling me it's bad to scrutinise.

Sure it's a zipper but people also say 'your fly's undone' here, so it's not that awkward...

Being white makes you a non-target? That's the most racist thing I've heard in a while. And I can't spend one session on the internet without seeing jokes about religious people or hate on religious people.

Not funny, you sexist jerk. PMS is a symptom very rarely suffered by women, and it's hurtful whenever I see people making jokes about it. Making out as if I'm some irrational, emotional human being when on my period and I'm pretty sick of it.

My point isn't 'don't treat animals well', every animal is entitled to a happy, healthy life free of fear and pain. My point is that lots of people believe animals can comprehend things the way humans do. For an example, lots of people pour a lot of love into horses, through hugging/snacks etc. This only gives the horse the signals that it is dominant and people get hurt, or the horse becomes overweight etc. Same with overweight dogs, and animals that cause damage because they've never been taught boundaries. Animals shouldn't be thought of to be humans, but they should be treated with the same respect that their animal counterparts show them, not the respect humans show humans. Things like saying animals 'cry' further develops the misconception.

False. The colour of the egg is largely determined by the breed of the chicken laying the eggs. Orangey yolks are on how fresh the egg is.

Fantastic that the elephant was rescued, but elephants don't 'cry'. If we go too far with personification then animals get harmed that way too. But keep up the good work, whoever rescued it.

I know it's limited, you don't need to tell me you need to drive ha. But I don't know why they're saying up there that we don't have snow or a real winter, because that's rather untrue :P
