Opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

You don't even need string theory to reach that conclusion, just quantum field theory.

10 Extremely Flammable Household Items 9 comments
jimcrichton · 9 years ago
This video is full of very poor science:
1. Non-dairy creamer may very well contain sodium aluminosilicate as an anticaking agent, but the aluminosilicate itself is NOT flammable. Creamer is only flammable because of its high surface area, same goes for the chili and the flour.
2. Calcium hypochlorite is NOT flammable, it is merely serving as an oxidizer. The brake fluid is what is burning. Brake fluid is made from various glycol ethers, and any other glycol (or glycerol for that matter) will do the same thing.
3. No shit. Stuff that’s full of alcohol/propane/butane is flammable? Who would have guessed?

Grass is overrated. Grass is irrigated more than any other crop in the US. I say let the weeds grow, mow them, and pretend they're grass.

The difference LED Street Lights make 12 comments

LEDs are more efficient than both standard incandescent bulbs and fluorescent bulbs. LEDs essentially never burn out, and they don't contain mercury vapor like fluorescent bulbs do.
