Spaghetti is life changing 13 comments
jimcrichton · 9 years ago
Spaghetti sauce should be made by browning semi-lean ground beef, sauteeing diced onion with the beef, adding tomato sauce, tomato paste, and diced tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, then adding freshly minced garlic and fresh minced parsley and oregano, season with salt, pepper, a touch of worcestershire sauce, and stir in a teaspoon of brown sugar to partially counteract the acid in the tomatoes.

Train rails preventing water from escaping 11 comments
jimcrichton · 9 years ago
Meh... the train only needs the rails... I'm pretty sure the weight of the train would be sufficient to clear the corner of the ice that meets the rail.

... And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." Amen.

Either the moon reflects only wavelengths of light that aren't harmful to vampires, or there is an intensity threshold for brightness which, once exceeded, harms vampires.

Naturally occurring Fluorite 12 comments
jimcrichton · 9 years ago
@blackbanana Actually calcium fluoride is essentially insoluble in water, so it's not really much of a hazard. The main danger is inhalation of CaF2 dust. However, in contact with strong mineral acids CaF2 can produce hydrogen fluoride which IS extremely dangerous and absolutely WILL kill you from the skeleton out.
