I love that sequence. :)
In all seriousness though, it's not ok to punch anyone, regardless of how morally repugnant their views might be. The correct response to bad ideas is not violence, it's better ideas.

Even if you're far enough away for it to not kill you, eclipse glasses would be insufficient to protect your eyes from the initial flash.

I have also had success with resuming a dream where it left off, but it only works about 30% of the time for me.

I prefer liquid, but had to switch to bars to save money because I always ended up using too much of the liquid soap.

At this point I consider VGA and DVI to be legacy tech... everything should be using HDMI

Horse-sized-duck would collapse under its own weight. Animals do not scale up well. See: Square-Cube Law

As hilarious as this is, it qualifies as assault, add battery if the milk actually hit her.

1. 2.3 MeV is a TINY amount of energy (about 3.7e-13 Joules... for comparison it takes 4.8 Joules to heat a gram of water by 1 deg C).
2. A betatron accelerates electrons, not atoms.
3. Building a betatron is trivial, all you need is a torus shaped vacuum tube, some copper wire, and a power supply.
4. Me as a parent: "Hell yes go ahead and build one! I want to help!"

It's just the Perseids... They happen every year, and this year they'll be competing with the brightness of the moon's reflectance.

How strong are acetone fumes 7 comments
jimcrichton · 7 years ago
Depends... How much acetone is available? How big is the chamber? What is the temperature? What is the partial pressure of acetone vapor in the chamber? What is the camera body made of? (Likely to be either polystyrene or poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene); both of which are soluble in acetone.)
