If it's severe enough to warrant going home for the day there's going to be visible physical symptoms. Although I suppose a clever kid could fake that too...

It is symmetric about the origin given that the origin is placed in the center. A function/object is symmetric about the origin if it is unchanged when reflected across each axis.

As I've said before... The correct response to bad ideas is not violence or suppression of speech, it is BETTER IDEAS.

That's why America is so great, we make an effort to integrate all the best ideas/people/cultures into our society. "American" isn't a race, it's a nation, but more importantly it's a shared ideology.

I'll vouch for the appropriateness of this. I have had anxiety attacks that made me physically ill, it's not something that can be shrugged off.

I would personally blow that pony's face off with a shotgun in front of a schoolbus full of kindergarteners if it would magically feed everyone in the world. But that's not how this works.

The enormous depth of field on scanning electron microscopes always amazes me. Also, this was clearly made by a very skilled operator. It is quite tricky to find and keep an interesting feature in frame while zooming in and at the same time keeping the beam from scorching the sample.

My curiosity got the better of me, I looked it up and watched... I regret watching... but musically, it's honestly not much worse than some of the BS I've heard on the radio lately.

In the strictest sense yes, but for the sake of argument I'd even be willing to grant de facto war status to certain engagements such as Vietnam, Korea, Gulf, Afghanistan, and Iraq (though I'm not willing to extend that status to the Cold War, as it's obviously different).

G-LOC (G-force Loss Of Consciousness) happens when the forces are so strong that your heart isn't strong enough to pump blood into your head against them.

OK, the sun is indeed roughly 400 times larger in DIAMETER than the moon. I had to check, cause I know it's WAY more massive than that and I had to make sure I hadn't gone insane.
