You beat me to it. This post wildy overestimates the destructive potential of a hand grenade. A hand grenade is an anti-personnel weapon, not an anti-materiel weapon.

@sir_spiderman I didn't intent to imply that you had, I just wanted to show that they have a certain significance.

I think most people find genuine human curiosity to be cute. Probably because we are predisposed toward finding childlike traits cute. And what is more childlike than genuine curiosity?

Why is it always the left nut?
*googles*
"The left one typically hangs lower. The left gonadal/testicular vein drains into the left renal vein before draining to the inferior vena cava (which is the last stop before it gets back to the heart). The right gonadal vein, on the other hand, drains directly into the IVC. Higher venous pressure from having to make that extra detour causes more blood to flow through the left testicular vein, so the testicle compensates by hanging lower (so it doesn't get too hot -- needs to pull away from core body heat -- too hot = sterility and testicular atrophy)."
... interesting ...

Words that ARE considered curses (or when they are used as such) are processed by a different part of the brain than regular language, they are handled by the warning/alarm-cry circuitry. So there IS something particular and distinct about them.

In many cases the title "philosopher" DOES still carry prestige. In fact the title "PhD" actually stands for "Doctor of Philosophy" in the original Latin sense of both "Doctor" and "Philosophy", wherein Doctor means "teacher of", and the heading of "Philosophy" includes all of the physical sciences as well as mathematics, logic, metaphysics, ethics, epistemology, and so forth.
