that's what I'm saying. maybe way back when, it did. but we're following the most basic rules of Christianity, as in love thy neighbor. also I've read the Bible and IT doesn't condemn women's rights. that's just how times were back then.

well my church took part in a gay pride parade. and we have a women's empowerment group too, that many non-Christian women go to (they just feel it empowers them). also, I meant "we" as in humanity. but you get the gist.

but we HAVE changed how people think. even in just 50 years. BUT IF WE KEEP PUTTING EACH OTHER DOWN BY CALLING EACH OTHER GULLIBLE WE'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. that keeps us from progressing more than anything. lack of tolerance. think about how much farther everyone could go by working together rather than saying, "you're wrong!" "no YOU'RE wrong!" and you're just a jerk for making me believe I could have a logical discussion with you.

well the "proof" that people have shown apparently isn't "good enough" for atheists around the world. honestly I don't think anything will be enough for some people. however, it's enough for others, helping many people (more than it hurts, I think) around the world as well. my mythology teacher in college put a good light on it. he said, "spiritual people had nothing and found something to make them spiritual. atheists had something and found nothing to prove the existence of spirituality." he considers atheism a religion as well, because atheists believe wholly there is no God, gods, etc. but just like Christians and Bhuddists and Muslims and Jews and the rest, the good ones are the ones who say, "you believe in something different than me? awesome! let's both believe what we want and not get in each other's faces about it!"
