Actually, in the marvel comics Spider-man is a close friend of Tony Stark. And Stark insisted on making Peter Parker an Avenger. So they did. Many other Marvel heroes are Avengers. Stark and Peter are so close, that Tony made an "Iron Spider" suit for Peter. So Spider-Man IS an actual Avenger. Not to mention my favorite superhero. If you do not believe me, please look it up.
