it can technically buy patience if you're like "here take £1000000 because it's gonna take me a bit longer to do that thing for you." I think they'd be pretty cool with it

people bringing out the 'fetus is already dead' argument- you know very fucking well what the idea is now stop trying to be a smart ass to cover it up and just say out straight what you think.

but if she isn't part of the protest then she obviously doesn't agree or care as strongly for that moral. As for the store manager- no matter what their moral is, it's affecting his business. He could agree with it completely but if it's stopping people from coming and his place of work from selling then of course he's gonna want to sort out the issue quickly.

now I am instinctively looking for a dragon and will probably waste the rest of my evening searching for it because I'm an idiot and became paranoid that this is a trick

to be fair though, the protest is disrupting the priority of other shoppers and the businesses. She's going about her day as normal, while it's good that they feel strongly enough about a cause to do this- they are the ones disrupting every day life

hmm, fair enough I guess. Just hearing about all the shootings on the news and the fact that y country doesn't allow guns- guess I just find it hard to imagine

I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed guns. I'm saying there should be more careful and strict processes put in place in order to prevent those 'deranged psychopaths' from having access to guns.

depends how they talk. gay people do get it worse, but there's limits for straight people too

having a gun should definitely only be a privilege. I know it's a form of self defence, but it's just as easily a form of attack (as we see on the news ALL THE TIME) and even as self defence- if you have a gun in your possession, in the heat of the moment are you really going to consider anything else? It's a power you should only be permitted if you can be trusted to be smart with it, not just use it without thinking.

Something no one seems to know about prison life 27 comments

honestly- not a lot of sympathy. It doesn't take much to remember that you've been to prison for a REASON. You can't expect to do your time and then when you get out everybody will treat you exactly the same. That's just the way the world works. Even if YOU know that you're a new person, people don't want the possibility of a liability in their lives/businesses.

honestly, I don't care what their sexuality is. If they start shoving their tongues down eachovers throats in my face, I'm gonna be annoyed.

similar thing happened with a guy trying to rob a house while the family was away. He'd been hiding in their garage but got locked in when they left, because of course they didn't expect a burglar to be hiding in there, and he was stuck in there for a couple days- when they came home and found him he sued them and won. it's disgusting.
