I always see black and blue, and the real dress is black and blue (it's been confirmed), but this is a different dress, so how you're still seeing black and blue is beyond me

but for most of the people alive today, the inequality of the past wasn't their choice- they were born into their rights and had nothing to do with it. And now when we've been working on equality, it's being tipped to the other side and the whole thing will start again. The hard truth is, most people don't give advantages to minorities because they feel bad or something- they do it because they don't want people to cry 'racism' is they don't give somebody a scholarship or something. The majority of white people disagree with how other cultures and races have been treated- how is it fair for them to suffer for something that a) they had to part in a b) they didn't want to happen in the first place? Nelson Mandela's whole argument was that it shouldn't turn from white over black to black over white- it should become equal because tipping it back and forth doesn't help. We can't fight for equality by using inequality.

my westie puppy was the last one of his litter to not be adopted, and I asked my dad what would have happened had we not adopted him and he said "he'd have probably gone to a shelter or pound." don't know if it would have been a no-kill shelter or not, but so glad that I have him

the previous answers are right. They find stray dogs all the time, and they run out of room. They need to pay for space, food, cleaning, medication. There are some who are no kill shelters. Cesar Milan basically has a shelter where he had like 15-20 dogs and he and his family/friends take care of them all, he's raising his children to learn to care for dogs and follow his passion for them and he trains them if they're aggressive to increase their chances of homes. But regular shelters don't have time for that- there's too many dogs to give them individual treatment, and generally people lean away from aggressive, timid, disabled or generally considered 'ugly' or 'bad reputation' breeds, which is what the majority of strays are. I hate it too, but they can't hold all those dogs and they can't just drop them back on the street.

so just because some people have advantages we should just pretend they can't be hurt? They can't be disrespected or mocked or attacked? The difference is that it happens less, but it doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all. I don't feel that somebody who has never been attacked for their skin colour has the right to pull out the history racism card if someone is remotely rude to them- which happens a lot. I actually find it almost disrespectful when people pull out the history card when nothing has personally happened to them and their family, it's like using the hardships of real people as a free pass argument whenever somebody even contradicts you.

...they met through her friend showing her a video he made BEFORE he was that big when he lived in Sweden and she lived in Italy. They both make a tonne of money from youtube now, he just makes more- It was hardly a master plan and it's not like she just sits around doing nothing while he brings in the money.

I understand that black people have had it really hard as a race. They've gone through a lot of shit. But at the moment, it seems like the racism is turning on white people- of course nowhere near as extreme, but in a mocking way. You get the whole "white girls do this" "White boys do that" etc. I am in no way saying that matches up to what other races have been put through, but people think that it is impossible to be racist to white people which is a total lie.

nobody minds your opinion. It's when the opinion is expressed in a manner that is considered rude that people don't want to hear it.

they were actually introduced by her friend, before he was very big on Youtube. By the time he was, she'd started her own channel and was becoming big too. They both earn from the same job, he just gets a bit more.

i'm sort of with you. I think it's good she can stick up for herself, but there's confident and then there's disrespectful, and if she keeps getting praised for being disrespectful, she'll grow up thinking it's the right way to go about life

glad she stood up for her self, and I know i'll get dislikes but honestly don't think kids should be encouraged to use language like that, at least not at a young age. I just don't think any kid should speak like that and be praised for it- it'll just make them think it's okay to be disrespectful to anybody who confronts you

yeah, I always found it funny how up until people are like 20 they just want to be older and then after that it's all, "Oh god what I'd give to be 18." Think I'm at that point where I'm like, "I want to be 18 and cool and grow into actually looking good and starting to take action with my life" but at the same time "I want to be 5 and eat and sleep and cry and play and eat crayons without being judged."

I think if EVERY country ganged up on the US it'd be very difficult for America to win at LEAST. I will admit, they are one of, if not the most powerful country on the planet- but most of that goes into their nuclear weaponry and their alliances and wealth. The US is a first world country- they're far from poor. They're allied with other first world countries that are either rich, powerful or influential such as Britain. The fact is, I think America would put up a very good fight and would definitely bring down a lot of other countries before it was beaten- but if they're as powerful as they say you are, they wouldn't have any worries because anything they need could be taken from a weaker country. They don't do that because they don't WANT a war on their hands- that wouldn't be an issue if they could win so easily. Remember how the Vietcong, UNOFFICIAL soldiers, managed to force America out of South Vietnam without much issue and rarely had to fight them face-to-face.

no but China is a big bloody part of it. And while Russia have lost a lot of power, you've got to give it to them that they're stubborn as hell. Plus the fact that if one country were to try to force them into submission, it's likely that more will be forced to follow. If America advanced, Britain would definitely be thrown in (we throw ourselves in every conflict. Every. Conflict) and everybody will be forced to pick sides. Not to mention the fact that a lot of countries allied with America and Britain rely on Russia and/or China heavily in some cases- I know Britain does because the main thing we were worried about was losing resources from Russia.
They can't be brought down as simply as you think, and while countries like America have allies, it doesn't mean those allies want to be sucked into a war.

weight is half and half. A larger person could eat the same as a skinny person but still put on more weight if they have a very slow metabolism- but of course there are still a lot of people who gain weight simply because they eat a lot and don't exercise.
