That's weird, in Europe it's been in use as long as I can remember. Now we have contactless which seems like a step back in terms of security

I may be misunderstanding your view and my comment may not be a counter to your view, so if it does not apply to you I hope you don't feel attacked.
Anyway, it's much easier for an organization to specialize in a particular area or for a particular group, hence why there are many different charities for different causes and not just the everything charity that does the job of all charities.
Also the work of one association doesn't necessarily devalue the work of another, in the same way that trying to improve the lives of a group of people shouldn't have to worsen the lives of those that don't belong to that group. Obviously there are those that would rather take from one group to give to another, but I don't feel that this is the case with NAACP.
I'm a rambler.

I wasn't disputing that, just stating how I felt that we are conditioned to make these kind of assumptions and joke about them.

Personally, I find it depressing that we assume that a female being successful in the work place, or getting a raise, wouldn't be just a merit to her legitimate hard work.

I am sure when this was a "popular story" in March the guy kept updating people on twitter and looked after the goldfish in a new tank, for those who care what happened to the carrots/goldfish

Part of me is "awww raccoon hugging a plushy" and then there's that part that ruins it for myself by acknowledging that it's holding it upside down in a sort of vertical 69 position.
Why must you ruin this for me brain?!
