Generally speaking sure anime have more attractive characters but I find their movement really stiff and awkward... with few exceptions of course. Although “poorly drawn/ animated” (ugly in a nicer way) American animations have smoother movements. But that’s just my opinion... I watch both as long as it helps me run away from all my responsibilities

Well from my experience, places and times where having 14 wives is acceptable doesn’t generally think too highly of woman or their autonomy, rights etc....it’s more of the social status, power, and various forms of external influences that dictates one’s spousal arrangement in said situations.
