It wasn't luck - it was the result of previous decisions and their consequences.

The books were amazing. Olaf was a douche but I got the feels for him at the end. The writing style is totally different from what I enjoy today but I put a large portion of my love of reading with it - actually the first real book I remember reading is The Reptile Room.

No. That was not a children's book series. That story was so fucked that I read it to make me feel better about my own shitty childhood.

Name one thing an infant has ever done to change the world. If in the unlikely event you can name such a thing that it a chance so small it is not worth consideration. I have had two baby sisters (Well one wasn't actually my sister, she was my brother's daughter) and was close with a cousin since he was born (He's nine now... Damn I feel old) and my feelings have not changed on the subject - they've reinforced it if anything.
Human babies are not intelligent and I wouldn't even call them sentient. I see them at maybe a bit above the level of dogs. Humans have a significantly higher chance of doing better things than a dog but it is still a very low one that is hardly worth consideration. If they were my children then my thoughts would be different due to me training them to be significant.

What kind? There are two kinds. The slight kind - you wouldn't even tell the difference between "normal" and slight - and the "I don't want to be raped but if a guy I'm interested in could just fuck me without my permission at a time I won't know about..."

Sacrifices must be made for the greater good. Plus babies aren't really that important. There REALLY stupid.

I think it shows an interesting part of Batman's mind. He doesn't believe himself to be Bruce Wayne anymore. He is the Batman in name, action, and belief. His alter-ego has become his main one.

Actually there is no luck involved and no chance involved. Some people are just less likely to survive. It was all predeterminded by timing, health of people involved, and several other minor factors. There is absolutely not a single position that requires any god of any kind.

Quite a few people who are destroying it are doing so in the name of their god, so we can just take down two birds with one stone.

@memelessdreams That is a combination of the Slippery Slope Fallacy and the Poisoning the Well fallacy which means that it is not just bullshit - it's double bullshit.
