I was raised baptist but quickly learned it was bullshit by the time I was nine. I didn't even know that other people didn't believe in god until four years later. I suppose being slapped by the-bastard-who-abused-my-mother's mother when I, for lack of a better term, called bullshit on the Bible. At the age of nine I found so many inconsistencies that it shocks me that older people cannot even see one. They were extremely simple ones that apologists could work around but as I was so young it was expected.

I don't think ALL religious people are stupid. I know MOST are. Those that have never been exposed to reality are ignorant but those who have been and still follow a religion are stupid. If you believe a magical sky fairy exists then that makes you an idiot. Nothing lowers my respect for a person like knowing they are a theist - I tell my mother that her belief in Christianity means I can never truly respect nor see her as an equal and I do the same with my sister.

Not a single shred, a minuscule amount, of evidence points towards a god or any kind of supernatural. Nothing good has ever come out of religion that could not be done in a better way. Religion is a parasite on the human brain constantly filtering out reality and replacing it with sky fairies.

There IS a uniform currency - in a way. In the same way that one bear skin is worth 5 rabbit skins. It's called the exchange rate. Although it isn't exactly a currency you can use - it's an abstract one - it is still universal.

Some people have the ability to take off the lens of god which let's them do real science but those people are an exception and, by default, their word in controversial subjects are worth less due to the likelihood of them lying in some fashion. It'd be like asking an oil company about the dangers out climate change - they are too biased to give an accurate statement. Even if the said person isn't biased the likelihood that they are is too great to take them at their word.

Certain sciences can allow theists but most cannot. Your religious beliefs in zoology mean shit. They don't interfere with your job. If your an astrophysicist then you may be able to do your job as long as you don't become like Newton - complacent with inconsistencies and just put god as an explanation. But things like paleontology cannot have your biases. Your biased opinion of the creation of the Earth will change how you view evidence and may bring you to inaccurate conclusions.

When you bring god into science then it is no longer a science. Everything you do will be seen through that lens. Dinosaur fossil? Made by the devil OR is only 4000 years old. Dark matter? Duh, it's god - now let's go eat dinner. People getting sick for unknown reasons and dying? Well, god works in mysterious ways. When you bring god into the science it is no longer science.

It sure as hell works better than bartering. With bartering, you can't always get what you want/need due to you perhaps not having what the person who has what you want wants. Perhaps it would work if you changed items into something universal. Maybe instead of taking an deer skin to the grocery store, you brought it to a bank of some sort and exchanged it for something of universal worth that everyone would accept.

Any decent judge will sentence both men to quite a hefty prison time. One raped a person and the other assaulted and sexually assaulted(raped in some states) another in a situation other than defense. Both are quite serious crimes.
