(WARNING: this only works if you dyed it all the way through, or two different colours. A partial dye will not work.)
Wear all black and hang your head low. Ball your fist tightly, and start speaking in Japanese or English (dubbed) while crying. Phrases like 'I should have been there for you, [relative]' or 'Why him/her? Why couldn't it have been me?!' work especially well. Play sad music with slow lyrics you can't understand but give you feels anyway, or opening music slowed down.

I agree with your concern in this matter, however almost any medium-sized dog, bird and some cats can survive in the wild, too. This tiger could have a disorder that would make it tough to survive in the wild, or could have been in a zoo facing overpopulation, you never know the exact circumstance. Judging by the pictures it looks rather tame (no animal exposes its belly unless it highly trusts its surroundings). I don't have any problem with people taking in unusual/unconventional pets, so long as they treat them with the proper accommodations and respect.

Science says that a high majority of kids did this, but almost none of them mentioned it because they thought it was just a dumb little thing they came up with.
