Near the end of my junior year of HS when COVID lockdowns started, my AP English teacher, Mrs Camp, got an email saying that our school will be closed for the rest of the year. The students didn't know this yet, so she decided the next day to bring several pizzas (meat lovers, vegan banana pepper & mushroom, and a plain cheese), krispy kreme donuts, several liters of sodas, a homemade brownie pan and flan. She basically said it was a reward to her classes for being one of her best years grade-wise and attitude-wise, and for morale to do good for our finals. She also 'postponed' the essay we were going to take until the next day, and was a free day so we could screw around a little. We didn't find out that basically the rest of the school year was cancelled, and the two classmates I had for both her and 7th period almost cried. Mrs Camp really was amazing.
