When animals are suffocated with inert gas like nitrogen or helium they just feel dizzy and pass out, there is no pain. That's why carbon monoxide is so dangerous because our bodies don't feel any pain from it and we have no need to escape it.

For anyone who thinks thinks this is inhumane: the birds are going to die slowly and painfully from the virus, this method quickly and painlessly suffocates the birds and is much more humane than leaving them to slowly die.

Once a deer was in my yard and my dog ran to chase it only for the deer to start jumping around and playing with my dog. Apparently a neighbor had found an orphan deer and raised it with their dogs. My dog as never gotten his confidence back.
