Same here. Not that my family remarked discretely, but because all of a sudden I started humming, singing (or whatever I do, close enough), and making silly jokes and comments... just a lighter attitude towards life, I think.

Like everything in life, this is not entirely correct. Even the "original" definition does not make 100% sense. Some countries sided with the West from both a political and military standpoint, but the key differentiation was the level of development in the country.
Take South Africa (at the time, still a Crown dependency) and Brazil (a sovereign nation), for example. Both took part in the War on the "Western" side, and held clearly "capitalist" economies, they were, however, under-developed and rural. They are considered 3rd world countries.

this reminds me of the time i was looking for māori face tattoos and could only remember the "moko" part of the name (it's Tāmoko, btw), so I googled "Moko"... let's just say I was pleasantly surprised
