I always make sure to let people know I'm a vegetarian and I do bring my own food to events whenever possible. And usually there's at least something small like salad or rolls. Sometimes I eat before events. As for the "asking someone to spend extra money to add something to they're menu solely because you don't like everything else" comment, vegans and vegetarians can't just start eating meat again because it's the only thing available. It's no longer a matter of taste, it's a health thing. A lot of vegetarians or vegans will get violently ill if they eat animal products.

one of my coworkers (19-years-old) at my summer job from last year gave me this huge speech about how she couldn't have caffeine when she found out she was pregnant with her second child...ten minutes later she's smoking cigarettes outside...and continued to do so through her whole pregnancy...

I wish on FS and on imgfave the site would prevent you from liking a picture you've already liked. My imgfave is out of control.

I would try this but everyone would open their papers and the butterflies would probably be like "Eh, I'm good here" and just chill in the guests' hands

as a vegetarian, I've gone hungry at many many many events (weddings, family gatherings, school/work events). If everyone else is being provided with food the vegetarians should be as well. we don't just eat lettuce. seriously though, I've received more hate for being a vegetarian than for any of my other beliefs or decisions. can someone explain why omnivores are so pissed off by vegetarians? especially those of us who just mind our own business. we're not trying to make you give up your precious meat, we just want to eat our food too!

LOVE! Work at a music company and I'm honestly very surprised that I've not had a customer order this band or orchestra score.

Also don't ever feel pressured to finish in four years. If you can, that's great and congrats!!! What colleges aren't telling you is that a large percentage of students take more than the standard four years to complete their undergrad. And when you find something you're truly passionate about study it outside of the classroom too! (ok that's pretty obvious) College was very very weird, personally, and I feel as though nothing in all my years of public education gave me any clue or skills to handle myself when I got there. Changed my major about five times first semester freshman year. You've just got to find what you love to do and what you're good at and pursue it. Yes you'll most likely have to work a job that has almost nothing to do with your major (unless you go in for something very specific like the medical field or certain trades) but don't ever lose your passion for what you love.
