Because corporations in other countries including the US, take advantage of this talent and pay these people next to nothing, have the product send here and we pay up the @$$.

My mother actually wanted me to buy a house with her. I couldn't move out fast enough once I graduated H.S. and found a job. Sadly, because of her temper, I needed to get out but really regret not doing the college thing. I'm now looking towards retirement.

I don't know about budget. Once retired, you income is drastically reduced. The days of pensions are over my friend so hopefully one has a 401K and a hefty savings because social security will maybe buy you a week or 2 of groceries.
