The original little mermaid were meant to be mermen. The author was gay and in love with a friend. Since he couldn't act on it, he wrote a story about it but due to the times, he changed it to be about a mermaid.

Yes..it's common but a lot of people are starting the practice of asking people to remove their shoes. If they do that, I think they should have slippers or socks for them to wear. I have a friend who has very cold feet and she hates it when someone ask her to take off her shoes. I have lament flooring so I don't care one way or another even when I did have carpet. I'm not going to impose that on my guest that may be uncomfortable with the practice.

I think we know what the next horror flick is going to be.
