You can also put painters tape over the holes and mark them. Remove the tape from the item you are hanging and put the tape on the wall; drill, remove, hang.

It's not named Golden Gate because it actually has gates; it's the 'gateway' to other cities. But on the Golden part; you're right unless your consider a burnt orange golden.

If you haven't seen the original and you're okay with sub-titles, I highly recommend it. Love it so not sure I'm going to see the American remake.
