No worries: Zoe is a shepherd mix. From the small research I've done, I think she's part Dutch Shepherd. She's a hunter and herder as well. She's a high energy dog even at 5 years old and I'm glad for it. She's my love.

My heart will break when it's your time to go 'home', so know that I love you more and more each and every day. I wish I could spend the entire day at the park with you but we both need to eat and keep a roof over our heads so I need to work. I will always come home to you; you are the most important living being in my life. You don't need to go on the defense when another dogs comes up to say hello to me. You are my #1 pretty girl.

I tell my dog where I'm going in the same tone and words so she gets used to them. "Going for the mail"; she's okay. "Be right back", she's okay. But if I head downstairs where the garage and car are without saying anything, you know I'm going to 'hear' it.
