Actually this is false. The Goblin shark is one species that is caught by fisherman on a regular basis on the southern side of Japan. Around 30 EACH YEAR are caught.
A few have also been caught and put in aquarium type habitats but only survive for a few days/weeks. Their meant is often dried and salted and then sold but that's really it. They are not a targeted species and they have definitely been seen more than 50 times since its discovery.

Hydrogen peroxide would be detectable. Just inject them with air. Your blood stream is an airtight system and by injecting air, it will look like a heart attack. Therefore, they will have no reason to look for the injection site because according to them, there will not be one.

That would be a good April Fools prank. Maybe for Arrow? Instead of adding the effects the release it like they film it and then the next week they can show the real one.
