I love this. My kids know they can stand, sit, or kneel during the pledge. They won’t get into trouble from me! I’m a veteran and I don’t mind at all if they choose to not do it.
Also, my youngest is in first grade and I volunteer at his school a lot. When I’m there if they say the pledge I stand but I don’t say it- The kids don’t notice. It’s an age appropriate kind of conversation. My 10yr old has noticed that some of her darker skinned friends have had issues that she hasn’t and we’ve had the inequality talk with her. She stands now but doesn’t say it. As she’s put it “why would I pledge support to a country that hurts my friends’ family?” It was a big decision for her and she knew she could get sent to the office but she also knew she had my full support on her decision.
Kids learn things when they’re young. Doesn’t mean they’re the right thing to learn just because it’s been done for years before.

My husband does this every morning and randomly throughout the day. It’s my favorite part of the day.

That’s because herd immunizations made it safer for the treatment plan to work. I’m glad your daughter is doing well!

That’s beautiful. I can imagine the sun shining though it and just gorgeous light filling the room.
Thanks for the warm image.

What the fuck. Did you say anything to her? Like, ma’am, you do realize it’s getting cold outside and you are carrying a baby, not a lizard correct? Yes, okay, I’ll be back with CPS in a moment.

I call it “mom drunk” Like, I’m still inebriated but I will make you an omelette if you’re hungry or I will sober up in a heartbeat if I can tell there’s not a safe situation around.

Don’t apologize for giving safety advice! I was at a wedding a little while ago and saw a parent pick their kid up by the arms and it made me cringe internally so badly. I went over and said that I wasnt trying to mom-shame by any means, but did they know the dangers of that? Little children love to be picked up by their arms, yes, swung around, etc. but it is completely unsafe as they cannot support their body weight with their arms! My daughter was picked up by an ex of mine by her arms as they were playing and she ended up with a spiral fracture in one and a hairline fracture in the other. We broke up right after that and I share our story all the time. Don’t be sorry. You’re a parent- sharing safety advice is good.

I did this with a swimsuit top. It’s been two months and I still have a pattern on my chest.

I have purple hair also... and technically I’m the middle child if you include my half sister. (I usually don’t because she’s a twatwaffle but meh...)
