Before you say that this is not an important issue, there are currently 8 year olds undergoing sex-change therapy, and although I'm find with transgender, I firmly believe that a young child is far too young to understand such decisions. When idealists like you begin to spread the belief that small children possess the same cognitive abilities as adults, kids get into situations that may ruin their future lives. While it might seem all sunshine and happiness to believe that these kids understand what they are doing, it is truly foolish to believe that these kids, still young enough to believe in the tooth fairy, have the ability to understand and display their sexual orientation. So while it might sound all beautiful in your small head, it is actually dangerous to view children as people with the ability to think rationally and like adults. And I mean dangerous towards the children. So wake up.

Well I for one believe my worth comes from my intelligence and ability to think and create. Honestly I think humanity has progressed to the point where the primal urge to mate has become secondary to the need to progress intellectually as a species. The fact that society is still driven by an animal-like urge for sex saddens me. People not only follow that mindset, but allow themselves to exist solely for sexual reasons.
