the book that I was talking about is Disgrace, by Coetzee. "Funnily" enough we were more girls in this class.. I was really shocked that they would say so.

I just don't like this "wipe them out" etc. stuff. And I don't think we have the right to decide over the life of others. I think if we do so then we are on the same level as "such lowly creatures." And I think this brings only more rage and anger into the world. But I agree that there should be consequences.

I was sexually abused and I wouldn't want the person that did it to be killed because of it. That's not going to make me feel any better. So personally I think it's extreme as well.
