Yeah, my kitty just got diagnosed with diabetes and her blood sugar can rise a lot from the treats they make :( You never want to feed an animal unless you know that there won't be a problem.

The main problem is that people don't know what is and isn't healthy. There are some people who think that anyone who doesn't look like a victoria secret model is fat. :) we absolutely need to encourage health, but we also need to encourage people knowing what healthy is.

... Yeah, because you know that they don't do anything for people. For all you know, the poster could be volunteering 20 hours a week, they could give quite a bit to the homeless, run fundraisers. Don't assume just because it's a post on the internet, nothing is being done. It's called raising awareness, and it can be done even by people who do other things.

Gspike may have said it insensitively, but there's a difference between 'trying really hard' and succeeding. People can try really really hard to get a good job, but that doesn't mean they will, plus they probably don't have a lot of time to devote to job hunting between working enough hours to support their family and taking care of their family. There are a lot of jobs that don't offer more than minimum wage, and a lot of people don't have anything better available to them.

Why was this down voted? Everyone should get fair pay. EMTs should definitely make more, but if we're going to eat out, someone has to be doing that job, and they shouldn't get paid like crap just because it happens to be them.

There are only so many people you can lay off unless you want to be doing the work yourself. It's possible that you're right, but it's possible not.

Each relationship should do what works for them, but if someone did something in the past that caused you to stop trusting them that much, it might be time to end the relationship.

You can have sex whenever you want, and you don't have to worry about making the other person happy when you're done.

*Taken, and have you? I'm pretty sure on the internet, you can't see who you're talking to a lot of the time, and in my personal experience, I have encountered far more thin, 'pretty' misandrists than fat and ugly ones. Saying things like that would get your entire argument discredited in a debate, and we're not defending misandrists/feminazis, we're defending the people that you decide you aren't okay with saying bad things because they don't have a pretty face to distract you. It's extremely wrong to say things like that, because it leads to bias and people saying things like "oh I'm not a feminazi because I'm pretty". It's completely false and hurtful.

Because jobs fall out of the sky, and that's why everyone is employed exactly where they want.

No, he didn't deserve it at all, and that wasn't what I was saying. No one ever deserves to be treated the way he was, certainly not for something as simple as that. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a poor choice, any more than it would be a poor choice to wear skimpy clothing while walking down dark alleys, no matter how much you or anyone else likes what you're wearing.

There are some cases when defibrillators won't give a charge, and there are some times when you'll have a small one in the field, but it is more common in the field than in the hospital. However, you may also need to do compressions while the device charges/gives a reading/powers up. :)

Actually you'll do CPR for so long (the count is 30 compressions), then you do mouth (or mask) to mouth. CPR is NOT for pressing air into the lungs, Mgoveia is right on that count, it's to attempt to restart the heart, and is only to be used if someone's heart has stopped, so on the scale, a broken bone is thought to be less of a problem. If there are two medical responders on the scene, one will do compressions and one will breathe, and then they'll switch (because yes, ribs are going to break and that's expected, and all those compressions make your arms ache).
