Okay, Holirific, I've taken child development classes and from personal experience, I can definitely say that I was never traumatized by not winning every time when I was a child. It made real victories better for me. How exactly are you planning on teaching your children the same thing? What is it that makes you think that not winning is such a bad thing? Yes, this particular child is upset. You know why?? Because other people have let her win, so she expects to win. If you /never/ LET your child win, they don't find anything wrong with losing, and they work harder for the win, and it means more when they succeed. Yes, you need to encourage them as well, but if you do that, your kid isn't going to give up on competition just because they don't always win. The same has been done with most of the kids in my family, and they're all very competitive and very happy, even when they lose. My little sister (half sister) on the other hand, was allowed to win all the time, and now the second

Considering the main point of many people who are gay talking to their families, many of who say things like "oh I think you're not really gay" (something my gma has said), or "maybe you just haven't found a guy/girl you like"... There are some people who /know/ what they like, and they aren't interested in anything else, and they shouldn't be encouraged to do differently no matter what that knowledge is (pan, demi, ace, bi, homo, hetero). If you /don't/ know, then by all means explore (so long as the people you're with are aware that's what you're doing), but don't try to talk people out of their own identification. It's pretty annoying, and kind of insulting...

Maybe the reason is that parents taught kids that winning was the most important thing? That they couldn't take losing, and the only way to feel decent was to win all the time? So I'd rather teach my kids to A) work hard to get what they want and B) that they aren't worth less because they lose, that they can just pick up and keep trying. Because if you want something badly enough, you work at it, people don't hand it to you. Because even though there are things that I will give them, there are some things that I can't.

Letting them have everything they want isn't the only way to show love. There aren't other ways to teach them to work for what they want, that they can't just win all the time. People naturally find winning important, and that's why kids throw huge fits when other kids beat them: because their parents always let them win.

... I don't feel that's a problem if you're sewing up their hole anyway.

Then why does it matter if you don't let them win? You love them the same either way, and one way you're teaching them (intentionally or not) that winning is important enough that they have to do it every time, so you're letting them.

There was this boy in middle school who I kind of had a crush on, but no one seemed to know his name. Some people called him Adam, some called him Kyle, and some called him Fish? To this day, I don't know his name.

I would hesitate to use back roads if you're being followed. If something happens, it could be dangerous.

Itsamemaria, that can work, but it can also be dangerous if they're willing to come to your car to get at you.

No, Calmthelovelytits thinks that just because you think something doesn't mean it has to come out of your mouth. Suicide being stupid doesn't change anything, and neither does you saying it's stupid. No one is saying it's a great idea, they're saying you should shut your mouth because it just makes people feel more alone when they have no one to talk to about their 'stupid' problems that 'aren't worth it'... which leads to suicide.

That's terrible D: If people can't control their pets they shouldn't be allowed to have them. Whatever that means for the animal.

But it takes a nasty owner to make a nasty dog. Just like no child who was raised properly will be a complete douchebag, dogs raised properly don't attack. You could say just as easily that all dogs come from wolves and therefore they're all killers, that doesn't make it true. Pit bulls have a bad rep because of dog fighters, despite the fact that German Shepherds, the dog you quote as being so safe, has a reputation of having the /most reported dog bites a year/, higher than any other breed of dog. In Australia, German Shepherds are the third most likely to attack a human. Oh, and... According to the National Geographic Channel television show Dangerous Encounters, the bite of a German Shepherd has a force of over 1,060 newtons (238 lbf) (compared with that of a Pit bull, 1,050 newtons (235 lbf)... Oh, and they're a relatively new breed compared to most others. Yes, Pits were bred for fighting, but that doesn't make the breed a bad breed.

And just because you don't give someone everything doesn't mean you aren't there to support them. Support is telling someone to keep at it, that they can do it if they try, not just giving them an easy time because they really want it.

Letting someone getting everything they want just because they want it isn't support, and making them work for what they want isn't cruel. Other kids aren't going to let them win, and kids need to learn that they have to work at things if they want to win. No one ever let me win anything, which made it even better when I did win through hard work and perseverance.

My dad never went easy on me and I'm very grateful, since it means I don't expect to win easily. I work for what I get, just because my dad didn't let me win... That seems like a very easy lesson to teach your kids to help them, and yet so many people think it's bad.

You have to have SOME fat for many reasons - warmth, cushioning, and some more serious reasons that I can't remember right now. However, I'm fairly certain that even in the first and last pictures, he is healthy.

and maybe her doctor's, what the reason is, so I am pro-choice, because I don't think you can limit all of the times it could be understandable, and I don't feel that it's anyone's right to tell her she's not allowed to do that. However, I do believe that it's a hard thing to do and I know that many women come to regret it, so I also believe that women should be told all their options in a /non-subjective/ manner.
