And there are some people who are just straight up racist on all sides, but, at least in my experience (and I've spoken to my sister who's black and she agrees) most people just aren't, at least where I'm from.

I feel so prepared. Omg. I definitely needed to know how to graph a tangent, but forget knowing how to find a house. Or get through college. Or do taxes. Nah, x=-b +/- sqrt of bSqrd-4ac /2a was way more important. Yes, I did remember that entire formula.I haven't been in school for a year.

It can be hurtful in the long run to give false compliments as people may think everything is fine and then find out it's really not. He could have been going to an interview or a date, which ends poorly because of this man. I'm not saying you should say it looks awful, but there are other things about him that you can look to compliment that you don't find negative.
It was a lie, because the man said the hat looked ugly. Because the man found it ugly, it was a lie to say it was awesome. It says it right there in the comic. You don't have to lie to give a compliment, you don't have to lie to make people feel good.

Can someone please make a movie about a father teaching his kid the power that everyone has? That would be adorable.

It depends where they were raised if there are culture differences. My little sister (granted only half black) can say tests fine, and they aren't always loud. I've met plenty of quiet black people and tons of loud-ass whites. I do have to agree that I dislike the smell of the hair products for my sister's hair, though.

How I personally saw it was (in a very racist way, mind you) saying that treating people differently is justifiable when they act differently. Black people don't /inherently/ act differently than anyone else, and thinking that is in and of itself racist. Some black people have different culture than the bulk of white americans, but black americans are just as capable of having traditional american culture as anyone else. A black girl can like starbucks and uggs just as much as a white girl, and I agree that the post wasn't /good/ but it also wasn't saying that anyone is forcing anyone to be racist. It was saying that racism doesn't exist, which isn't always the case, and for that it needs clarification at least, but in SOME cases, it does have a point.

I get what you're trying to say... but if you're white and you act differently you get treated differently as well. There are some legitimately racist people who say things like this, but I went to school with the biggest asshole of a kid, who happened to be black. He was seated beside me in all of the classes we had together (which was a lot, our year was only 50 students) because our last names were right next to each other, and he would always lean over and say lewd sexual comments in my ear, talk through class, and just generally be a disruptive dick, and when I finally told him to shut the fuck up, he's like "it's because I'm black isn't it". No, it's not always because you're black. Just because you have dark skin doesn't mean you can act like an ass and not get treated like an ass. The post was worded poorly though, and I'm not necessarily defending it.

Maybe because the cheerleaders spend time at all of their games and they're both athletic and likely have similar interests?

As long as everyone knows that it's not appropriate for reality, it is a fictional story. Some people might be turned on by it, and not just from Grey's perspective. No, no one should actually aspire to be in a relationship like this, but some people are turned on by rape... speaking as someone who is.

Many women enjoy showing their religion by wearing traditional clothing. Don't assume that she has no choice just because you wouldn't choose to wear it.

Yes but that doesn't help in my case, because up right down and left all have different uses. I'd have to pay attention to the buttons because the buttons do the same thing. A B X and Y do the same thing, up right down left do not.

Er. No, not really. As do the same thing on both, and Bs both go back. They're in different places. X exits out of stuff on the xbox and that's Y on the DS which has... no use most of the time.

I wasn't allowed to do a certain project for my high school class (involving wearing a fake pregnancy belly) because I weighed too little and it was a health problem. Instead, I had to do a 10 page report. Don't get me wrong, I like being able to eat, but nearly freezing to death when everyone else is fine isn't fun. I bruise super easy too, a lot of times I'll have multicolored bruises and not even know what they're from because I didn't get hurt badly enough that I /should/ have bruised, but I did anyway. I get dizzy spells a lot when I stand up too fast. I had to drop out of choir because I fainted on stage, since I was standing under the hot lights surrounded by people for so long, and a ton of people have assumed I'm anorexic (it's so freaking annoying, some people don't let it go). I've had multiple people give me double glances when I'm eating and go "wait, you eat?" My body looks kind of freaky, and my chest is super flat. I know it's not the worst thing in the world, but it's

I've only played on a playstation twice, so I have noooooo idea what I'm doing, and with the xbox and nintendo they're kind of flipped. I only have a DS myself, so whenever I play my gf's xbox I get mixed up. I want the bottom one to be back and the right one to be yes.

Since everyone is posting crazy party stories, I'll share mine: one time, playing d&d, we stayed up til 4 AM eating pretzels and goldfish.
