That doesn't mean you should get insulted because the facts are silly and fun.

It's the internet.... on a website for funny images... called funsubstance, and you expect it to be educational, cold hard facts? They're nonsensical and the point is to make people smile, try not to take it so seriously.

FSer, I hate to break it to you, but you are accusing her of a lot of things she hasn't said, you're insulting her and making arguments that don't even hold any base, I would challenge you to name three random people who just /know/ what those words mean despite not having studied German, and 90% of your comments were just insulting someone on the internet. If you're going to start calling people ignorant, learn how to debate properly.

And obviously the answer to being a healthy weight is just eating healthy and working out, right? Because clearly my 3+ meals a day of healthy food plus at least one junk food snack, and the only workout I get is walking to the store to get /more/ junk food keeps me above 100 pounds. No, you cannot solve all of your weight problems simply by being healthy. Everyone is different, and sometimes people will be underweight just like sometimes people will be overweight.

Plus, even if they are just lazy or if they don't eat (in the case of skinny people), do you really think that some random person on the street telling them so will change anything? There's no excuse for shaming anyone for their weight.

Because for a long time there were a bunch of posts about how cats don't care about anyone, they're evil, mean, and just want to rule the household. Also, the internet has always loved cats.

I'm pretty sure if someone's fat, they're aware of that fact. Even if they aren't, I'm pretty sure in 9 cases out of 10, it's not up to you to let them know. Also, there's a difference between family trying to help them be healthier, and strangers/acquaintances pointing it out unnecessarily. For all you know, they could be on the way to changing it.

People don't always choose to be fat either. If they're completely obese, yes there are definitely things to be done.

FSer, I'm pretty sure she said the idea was to make them go to homeless shelters, not chase them away. Either way, there was a recent study (at least in the US), that the majority of homeless people are actually people with families who got laid off and fell on hard times, not people who started doing drugs.

Hello Mr. Muffins. I rather enjoy blueberry and poppyseed muffins. Carrot muffins are also good once in a while.

They might not be full in the summers, but that's probably because the homeless shelters aren't exactly great. They're packed in there super tight, with a bunch of people who probably stink and who might try to steal what little they have, not to mention there are a bunch of homeless veterans who might find sleeping in doors, especially around people, especially where they can't put their back in a corner terrifying enough to prevent them from sleeping. Not wanting help for a drug/alcohol problem isn't the only reason to not want to go to a shelter, and since we can never know what someone is thinking, I don't want to ever see spikes around my home.

No my kitty does it too. She's super sweet and would let me do pretty much whatever I wanted and wouldn't scratch or bite. The only time she scratches is when she's scared.

They never said "you should like cats more than dogs", the /fact/ that cats make more sounds/have more similar emotional centers isn't an opinion... And people do it with dogs and cats all the time, on both sides.

Okay, here's an argument: there are ways to handle things other than being a dick.

Okay, ESPECIALLY in the winters, there is not enough ROOM in the homeless shelters. They close after letting in so many people and refuse to let in any more. If anyone refuses to go to a shelter, maybe it's because they'd rather give someone else the opportunity, because there is not enough space. So yes, I do. I think that no kind human being would think the logical solution to a drug problem is spikes.

The most effective way is to encourage them to exercise and eat healthy...

It just seems a little crazy that if someone isn't interested enough to pursue it without a cash incentive they should be given just to ensure that things are diverse. I wouldn't want to learn from someone who had to be paid to follow a career path, the ones who are interested enough to follow it on their own are usually the best because they're the most driven...

Idk, my dad is almost 40 and he dates girls my age (19). There are plenty people who will date much older people. Granted, he's part of a fetish community and so everyone he knows does some crazy stuff.

If you're 19 I'm pretty sure 16 is legal in the US too. It could be 17 but idk.

I'm from America. I was also never held back, but I am born later in the year, so I'm older than most of my classmates.

Of course it doesn't mean all teenagers are childish, everyone has differing levels of maturity throughout their whole lives, but girls aren't necessarily more often 5 years ahead of guys. It's just more socially acceptable for guys to date younger and girls to date older. And yes, it was an exaggeration, the point was you're more than welcome, so long as it's legal wherever you're from, to date whomever you please.

Yes, they can make babies earlier. Some girls get their periods at 10 years old, that doesn't mean they should start dating then, whether they're physically mature enough or not. Physical maturity =/= mental maturity. But sure, if you want to go for a 23 year old or even a 46 year old, it's your choice.

Don't assume the worst of people, but also don't tell people that no that guy was not a pervert it's fine... They felt uncomfortable, and it might help them out one day by getting them out of a bad situation.

My little sister, despite growing up in the same neighborhood as me, having parents that make the same amount as mine do, and having the same grades and test scores, would be able to go to college for cheaper than I would, and more easily, because she's black, and I'm white. It seems kind of strange to me that people should be given things just because fewer people of their race get degrees. If someone's poor, give them help, that seems easy enough to me. Stop asking what race people are on applications, that way you can't judge it one way or the other. That's my opinion, anyway.
