I'm a saudi, we were raised and taught the major two sources of Islam ( Qur'an and Hadith ). That's true. Though many scholars say that what's allowed to our prophet ( Mohammad ) isn't necessarily allowed to others, number of wives as an example, he was married to 9 at the same time, others only allowed 4.
They believe that he married those women for various reasons, one because her husband died and she had nothing, another because she was the daughter of an enemy ( princess ) and she shouldn't be sold into slavery. As for this particular woman, they say because of 3 reason:
1. He dreamed of her. ;)
2. She was smart. :/
3. Her father was his best friend.
And that's people why I became an atheist.
