Start by drilling a hole in the center. Then using some type of tapered pin heat the coin and force the pin through the hole causing it to get bigger and eventually to a flat ring ^. Now heat the pin and hammer the flats while making sure the center hole doesnt get too small. Eventually you will end up with the ring.
