Naw, it's freshly laid, not smoothed over. They probably just jumped from a spot, walked around to the tip of the heart, then jumped back to their original spot to take the picture.

Snow's is totally realistic. That's what mine looks like (minus the cute bow, plus a few fly-aways...although, I do also own a Snow bow headband.)
