im not saying ALL math just the complex shit that doesnt help like sin/cos x=whatnot. obviously basic addition and shit is helpful. and yes like you say there are some teachers who go the extra mile but lets be honest, they arent the majority (especially considering the "i dont get paid enough for this" argument is totally valid so who can blame them)

However, most of what is drilled into students minds is things like math that has little to no use outside of very specific fields. It's a generalization. He didn't say "drop out" he just said "learn more than just what they teach".
