It is true. While none of my classes have been cancelled, some have been. But other colleges in the US have cancelled classes too.

I agree they are good ideas for self-protection. But the thing is, this guy basically said "ok don't give a nice guy a chance and let him walk you to your car." Well we don't want you to walk us to our car because of the fact that society views women like prey and teach us not to trust strange men like you.
Does that make sense? Sometimes I suck at getting my point across with things like this.

Exactly. Especially since society basically teaches us stuff like don't walk alone at night, put your key between your fingers, carry mace/pepper spray to defend yourself.

I had a friend in elementary school who was dyslexic but whenever we took tests, she was timed but she had a scribe to read and write for her. She just told them what to write and she typically got at least an extra half hour compared to the rest of us.

I'm not doing it for the condom free sex. I'm on it because I would go 2 to 3 months without a period and then when it did come it would be super heavy and last the entire 7 days. Plus I got really bad cramps. My period is much more manageable since starting birth control. I just mentioned the whole pregnancy thing because that's a bonus for some people.

That's one reason why I got put on birth control. Not only does it prevent pregnancy, make your period lighter and less cramping, but your period becomes extremely predictable to the point you know exactly what day you'll get it. I don't have to worry about surprises anymore like I used to.
