Those amazing eyes 8 comments

I know my cat is about to do something stupid when his eyes dilate like that. Usually run across the room at full speed, right into the sliding glass door. Because he saw a bird outside.

My cat used to get stuck between the window and screen all the time.
To those who say they DESERVE $15 an hour working fast food. 42 comments

I am not stating whether I'm for or against this, but what is with the inherent assumption that all minimum wage jobs are menial food industry type labor, and the employees of minimum wage jobs are uneducated lazy bums?

It's illegal to wear medals and such that we're not earned. I only know this because my husband (US Marine) gets sooo pissed about things like this too. He knows the specific articles and whatnot of why and how its illegal. He probably wouldn't have approached that guy in the video, but I personally know a few Marines who would.

The Wisdom Tooth 6 comments

That happened to my bottom two wisdom teeth, and they only started hurting during my second pregnancy. I can tell you that the pain of an impacted wisdom tooth does, in fact, hurt more than childbirth.

My husband said something very similar to this a few years ago. It nearly ended our marriage.

I'm 30, I have two kids, and I shamelessly watch Spongebob on a regular (daily) basis.

Tesla made the internet possible (in the grand scheme of things). That's all you need to know.

When you think about it, Gothel was actually pretty amazing. She could have kept Rapunzel in a dungeon, but she chose not to. She taught the little princess to read, write, sew, paint, play music, and the words "I love you". She might have been a selfish, greedy old hag, but she wasn't 100% heartless.

My daughters have always believed that "two daddies can love each other" and "it's okay for boys to wear dresses" without us having to say anything on this subject. Just like racism, negative feelings towards homosexuality is something that must be learned.

My daughters started saying "that's a boy's job" when they were three or four, and I can only think they got this notion from the lack of women portrayed doing said job. Of course I corrected them, but it goes to show that maybe little girls do still need to hear this message.

This is absolutely true. It was one of the more common death traps in late 80's and early 90's kids shows/movies.

I work at a school, and the heavier teachers (and principal) make jokes about how thin I am. I wonder what would happen if I made the jokes in reverse?

Does this include the remaining 30¢ (or some such amount) left on cards that just get thrown away?

I'd hate being wealthy enough to afford to own and maintain a house like that, and I'm being completely serious. I'd rather live a happy, simple life than be burdened with the responsibility attached to that amount of wealth.

Yup. I have epilepsy, and my seizures are déjà vu on steroids. I get regular déjà vu too, so it's easy to tell the difference.

More like the intelligent people just don't vote. Seriously, the percentage of registered voters who don't show up at the polls is pathetic.

Depends on your definition of terrorism. But seeing as presidents are most likely not in any way involved in the atrocities committed by Americans (yes, we've done horrific things), I don't think we can say they are like terrorists.

If you feel like all your friends are more attractive than you, you can't go blaming it on your ethnicity. Plus, girls are often prettier than they think.
