They may be Dutch. We don't wear helmets, even if there are more bikes than inhabitants in the country.

I was expecting the Sponge Bob reference. Unfortunately, it should be "omelette au fromage". With "du", it means that the omelette belongs to the cheese.

I'm a vegetarian and I totally agree. I'm well aware it's a modern luxury. Also, if I were dumped on a desert island, I'll eat animals. Most plants are poisonous, most animals are safe to eat.

I didn't know it was a thing. In hindsight, I'm not surprised. It's amazing how, in Europe over the past twenty years, focus has moved from boobs to butts. I'm still a boob-person.

True. However there is evidence that they do not.
Contrary to what many people say, absence of evidence actually is evidence of absence. This is why we don't wear an anti-dragon armor when going to work. It's codified in probability theory by the "Bayes Theorem" but it's widespread common sense really. http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Absence_of_evidence
PS: just stating this generally, plugging it as an answer to your comment because it felt like a good place. I am not making the assumption that you misunderstand statistics!

I'm glad my parents didn't wait for me to become a sad adult for taking pictures. What would I be hiding in a shoebox in the cellar otherwise?

That's a beautiful illustration in the "hairy ball theorem" of algebraic topology. I wonder if the artist would contribute to the Wikipedia page for this theorem.

Thank you! I've never heard of anything like that in France, but then again my interests lie elsewhere and I might just be ignorant.

I think I'm missing a reference. I see how the text and the maths relate, but is there a cultural element that makes it more than a weird arbitrary attempt at rhyme and rhythm?
