Sadly I think he's passed away...King penguins live up to be 30, and this was filmed in in 1996 when he was 14. :'(

You have to plant money with the golden shovel. Though you could lose money in the process. I suggest burying 30,000 bells for a 30% of it to bloom.

She actually tried to change. In 2007 she went for surgery, but sadly passed away from it.
